Sensei Stéphane Doré

Sensei Stephane Dore

Sensei Stéphane Doré is a 5th degree (Godan) Black Belt in Ninja-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu under the Trident Jiu-Jitsu Fellowship. He has over 22 years of martial arts experience, and taught in Cold Lake from 1991 -1996. Sensei Stéphane taught out of the Edmonton Garrison Military Fitness Centre since getting transferred here in 1996 until 2007. In 1999, he was also teaching Jiu-Jitsu in Kosovo to soldiers out there with him. He taught out of the Pix Martial Arts Centre from January 2007 to June 2009.  Sensei Doré opened at the current new location in July 2009.

  • Sensei Doré studied under Sensei Dave Robitaille (Rokudan, 6th degree CNJJBBF), while stationed in Cold Lake, Alberta.
  • Sensei Dore has studied with the likes of:

  • Professor Jules Ladouceur (8th degree)
  • Professor Ray Swicker (7th degree CNJJBBF, 2nd degree hapkido, Penchak silat instructor, Kali instructor)

  • Professor Dave Stewart (6th degree CNJJBBF)
  • Sensei Dave Maciver (5th degree CNJJBBF)
  • Sensei Jeff Hopping (5th degree degree CNJJBBF, 3rd degree Goju-ryu karate).

  • Bas Rutten, former UFC Champion, and Fabio Holanda, trainer of the likes of Georges St-Pierre and Patrick Coté.

Sensei Doré is currently training with Professor / Sensei Rodrigo Resende (3rd Degree black belt Judo, 2nd degree black belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), as often as possible to progress in the BJJ belt system
